William's Birthday

We can't believe William is already 1! Time just flies. It doesn't seem long ago we were at the hospital welcoming him to our family. Jason was so proud of his son, and we were so surprised with his dimples. He is our angel. We are so lucky to have such an easy, perfect little guy!

We were able to webcam with Jason for the whole party. So, I let the kids have cake and ice cream in the living room. (Definitely a first for them- I can't tell you how many times I say "Food and drinks stay in the kitchen!") William sat in his booster seat in the computer chair. It was interesting, but we definitely wanted daddy to 'be there'. William liked his ice cream more than the cake.

Look at that face! A little bit of William's attitude. "What are you doing, I want cake!"

What a happy little birthday boy!

A little more attitude. William kept closing his eyes on purpose, and then just giggled and giggled.

His favorite gift was ELMO Alive.

more from the terminal...

This picture says it all. We were SO excited to see Jason!

Saying goodbye all over again wasn't easy, but it was a nice surprise to see Jason.

What a Surprise

Jason called late in the morning to let me know he was at the terminal at Ramstein waiting for the next plane. I was so excited to see him I threw on the kids shoes and coats, and off we went to see him. We were only able to spend a little over an hour with him, but it was such a nice surprise to see him before he went to Iraq. Ava was sick that day, and she was so content to have her daddy hold her.

I'm still waiting for Jason to email me all the pictures from his camera. So for now, you'll have to settle for the few out of focus pictures Ethan took. (The video he took is even funnier.)
