I think this is the first Thanksgiving we've had without friends or family., so it was a little different. I made a small turkey and ham, and we had way too much food. It was nice to have leftovers though. I'm so thankful to be here with Jason on his deployment.
Caught stealing some ham before the prayer!
After we ate pie, we made these yummy little Turkeys with the kids.
We spent half of our Saturday at Animal Kingdom, and then went back to Magic Kingdom.
The Tree of Life
The most popular attraction is the Kilimanjaro Safari Ride. We saw many African animals. Ethan and Ava loved it, but William didn't like the bumpy ride.
Apparently the kids didn't think this was a good photo opp. ;)
Ava and William hugging while we were waiting in line for drinks.
The Finding Nemo musical was so amazing!
The puppetry, art, and music certainly surpassed our expectations.
Triceratop Spin
Ava was very excited to ride the Triceratop.
William isn't too sure about rides after the Barn Stormer kid-coaster last week.
I thought the Christmas trees all over the park were so creative.
We even spotted Mickey and his friends!
Back to Magic Kingdom!
Sitting down to dinner. Ava was so excited to see Cinderella's castle again!
As we walked closer and closer, she was jumping up and down, dancing around, and had the biggest smile on her face.
Sugary towers glowing in the night sky, how enchanting!
We went to Disney World last Saturday. We're so glad we waited to go, it would have been unbearably hot and humid in the summer, and the lines would have been very long. We had a perfect "magical" day!
Waiting in line for the Buzz Lightyear ride. William had to take one of his trains into the park too. Ethan was very happy to help Buzz defeat Emperor Zurg.
Waiting to drive cars on the Tomorrowland Speedway. Ethan was so proud of his racing skills and even received a Disney drivers license. He also went on Space Mountain with me. I thought it would scare him, but he loved it and wanted to ride it again with his dad.
William and I watched a parade while Jason took Ethan and Ava on a ride for bigger kids.
Ava loved meeting Ariel. They talked about Flounder, using a dinglehopper, and Prince Eric. Ava told her she dressed like Ariel for Halloween. It was the cutest thing ever!
So happy to meet Cinderella!
William was flirting with the princesses, I think he fell in love with Belle.
Ava in front of Minnie Mouse's house. (Did you notice Ava moved all her princess stickers to her leg?) What a funny girl.
The enchanting Cinderella castle all lit up with icicles for the holiday season. I LOVE IT!
The firework show was spectacular! We can't wait to go back! We still have the other half of Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Epcot to explore! Good thing I convinced Jason to get 4 day passes ;)
First, we watched Sea Rex on the IMAX screen. The kids were in awe and William was a little scared. Then we were off to explore the museum.
Ava + Ethan = CHAOS
Ethan cracking the code to the safe
William, silly boy
Tug-o-War
Ethan making his way from point A to point B, kinda like a spider on a web
PILOTS
Ethan and William didn't want to leave the flight simulator. Hmmm- a couple future Air Force pilots?
This giant slide was crazy! The kids had to put a pillowcase like cover on to protect their legs. Ethan and Ava loved it, while William cried the whole time because he was too little to slide.
